Why Our Focus Groups Are So Powerful

The Advocates can provide you with powerful and reliable recommendations for the development of the issues based upon scientific study of likely juror perceptions.

Throughout the life of the case, important questions arise often about judge, juror, and arbitrator perceptions of the issues, witnesses, visual aids, and other aspects of the case. Scientifically conducted focus group studies have a specific role in finding reliable and creative answers for these questions.

Our focus group studies are designed to explore important issues in the case and to discover creative and powerful ideas for your trial team in developing and presenting the case. Each focus group study is specially designed to deal with your particular case in order to identify perceptions and impressions of likely decision makers. We work hard to uncover the underlying psychological reactions to the allegations, defenses, facts, and issues in the case.

In the process of a focus group study, we can sort out the relevant and irrelevant issues. We can assist in developing compelling ideas for themes and the story of your case.

Most of our focus group studies include free-flowing discussions of the issues in the case conducted by an experienced facilitator or trial scientist. It is an interactive session in which we try to exhaust the research jurors' feelings, thoughts, and knowledge about the case.

Our focus group studies vary in size and format depending upon the case. Our services include both live and on-line focus group studies. They include people from the likely jury population or other sample populations that may be appropriate in the case. We generally provide a written report soon after each focus group study which provides our analysis of the research jurors' reasoning and our suggestions for the development of persuasive themes and strategies for the case.
