Brenda Echevarria works with The Advocates because she grew up in a religious household and was taught to speak up for the vulnerable. Helping those in need is deeply rooted in her beliefs. Brenda attended Barry Law School in Orlando, Florida, on a full academic scholarship. During law school, she became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator. She also worked with local non-profit organizations, drafting applications and negotiating with city officials to receive funding. Upon graduation, Brenda immediately began working at one of the largest personal injury law firms, where she put all her skills into practice and gained valuable experience with successful settlements for her clients.
Brenda enjoys being involved in the Hispanic community when she is not working. Growing up as a first-generation Mexican American, it has always been important for her to be a resource to the Spanish-speaking community. She often volunteers with local organizations to provide legal services to those who cannot afford representation. She enjoys working out, swimming, running, and doing hot yoga. She also enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school.
